4BioPower Let's Make The World a Better Place... live in! While some argue that man is not responsible for climate change or global warmer, others know it is real. Here, we believe that man has played a significant part in it. And must without question, change many of his ways of doing things - from global deforestation to carbon emissions - Man is now destine to perish, if he doesn't decide to go at it completely differently.

You can make a significant change and a better impact upon your life, if you so desire.

Biologically Diverse

Biodiversity for short. It is the wide range and variety of species and the differences within those species, that exist here on this planet (and in the universe, no two planets having been found to be alike). It is all the plant, animal, insect and other organisms here on earth. There are many reasons for this to exist on our planet. One of the main reasons held out by many is so that humans can survive.

Fuel, food, shelter and other essentials are obtained from nature. The complexity of the Ecosystem and how it is set up, ensures humans have a habitat to live in.

It is necessary to maintain the balance of animal, plant, insect and other organisms which nature has set up for us. The largest concentration of this diverseness is in the Tropics - namely the tropical rain forests. It is of vital importance, that they do not disappear - that the current level of rain forest is inadequate to sustain it's ecosystem and must be reversed, immediately. That is, we have to encourage regrowth of those areas destroyed by man and nature, (if nature, like fires, had anything to do with it's disappearance).

Without going into the functions of insects, other animals besides man, and other organisms - it is important to cover the area of diverse plant life - especially trees associated with rain forests. They provide a habitat for plants, animals, insects and other organisms. They sequester carbon dioxide and give off not only oxygen, but while a rain storm is under way - the lightening produces ozone. We need ozone to cover the earth. Banning the use ozone destroying chemicals, such as freon, it is not enough to protect our ozone shield, high above the earth - ozone has to be produced regularly and at a specific rate or else. Or else we will surely die.

These trees are very important to us, in many ways. They produce the rain that fills the rivers of fresh water, they prevent high winds from developing, which would certainly cause other catasrophic consequences such as hurricanes that spawn tornadoes. We need these trees, but we also need the other plant, animal, insect and other organisms that thrive within them. Medicine for man, food for man, fuel for man - all can come from these forests.

The whole basis of this article is that without diversity comes monoculture. One set of trees, one set of vegetables, one type of plant, etc., etc. and this is dangerous. Why? Diversity ensures the existence of the species. It protects it from disease and other harmful germs. Nature selects what survives and doesn't; not man and as long as we continue to interfer with this natural selection and diversity process, we will be in trouble. Nature has spent billions of years perfecting a habitable planet for a host of organisms - who are we to destroy it? In fact, before we do, nature will hammer us - we will disappear first.

Prior to writing this Article, I was unaware of the fact, that high winds force Ocean Current and Potentially drive waves against the shores all over the world, this becomes catrastrophic in a number of ways - soil erotion and the fact that the waves heat up due to friction. When they hit Ice Sheets, they are hot and are one of the primary reasons for the Ice Lands of the Earth melting at the rate they are.
